Most factories in Abu Dhabi do not plan scrap. It builds up behind the workshop, in a corner of the yard, or on a pallet nobody wants to move. Then a shutdown comes, or an audit, or a new machine needs the floor space, and suddenly it has to go this week.
This is how a collection runs from our side, so you know what to expect before you call.
Start with photos, not a description
The fastest quote comes from three or four photos and a rough weight. "Twenty tonnes of mixed metal" can mean six different rates. A photo of the pile tells us what is actually there: sheet offcuts, motors, cable, or a skip of turnings with coolant still in it.
If you have a list from stores, send that instead. Item, quantity, and condition is enough. We do not need part numbers.
The quote, and what moves it
We quote per tonne for the common grades and per piece for machines and equipment. Three things move the number more than anything else:
- How mixed the load is. Separated metal always pays better than a pile.
- What is attached. Concrete, wood, plastic and insulation are weight we cannot sell.
- Access. A load we can reach with a hiab truck costs less to lift than one that needs manual loading through a narrow gate.
If the load is worth sorting, we will say so. Sometimes it is not, and a mixed rate is the sensible answer.
The truck that comes
We run eight trucks out of Musaffah M42, including two hydraulic skip trucks and two with hiab cranes. The skip goes on site for a few days when a job produces scrap over a week. The hiab is for anything heavy or awkward: transformers, machine beds, tanks, structural offcuts.
For a workshop clear-out, a flatbed and two loaders usually finish in a morning.
Weighing, paperwork and payment
Every load is weighed on a certified weighbridge and you get the ticket. That ticket, not our word, is the basis of the payment.
We work on a trade licence from the Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi, and we are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Our ICV certificate is current at 19.02 per cent, which matters to plants that report supplier ICV in their own tenders.
If your site needs a gate pass, a vehicle permit, or a copy of insurance before a truck enters, ask at the quote stage. In Musaffah and ICAD that paperwork is normal and we do it every week.
What we are set up for
Factory scrap and machine offcuts. Construction surplus after handover. Used plant and machinery, including non-runners. Copper, aluminium, steel, brass, cable and motors. Batteries from fleets and standby systems. IT and electronic scrap from offices and control rooms.
We are an industrial buyer. If you have one washing machine at home, another yard is a better fit for you than a truck from Musaffah.
Timing
We collect Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. A single truck job booked in the morning usually runs the same week. A full plant clearance gets a site visit first, because the honest answer on those is a date and a method, not a number over the phone.

Common questions
Do you collect outside Abu Dhabi?
Yes. The yard is in Musaffah M42 and most of our work is Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, but we run to Dubai, Sharjah and the northern emirates for full truck loads. For a small mixed load far from Musaffah, the transport cost eats the value, and we will tell you that rather than waste your time.
How fast can a truck reach us?
A normal single load booked in the morning is usually collected within the same week, often next day. Skip placements depend on how many skips are already out. A plant clearance needs a site visit first, so allow a few days before the first truck.
Do we get paperwork for our records?
Yes. You get the weighbridge ticket for every load, and an invoice showing grades, weights and rates. If your HSE or finance team needs the trade licence or the ISO certificates on file, we send those with the first job.
Is there a minimum load?
No fixed minimum, but below roughly one tonne of mixed metal the transport is the main cost, so the rate reflects that. Many sites solve this by keeping a skip on site and calling us when it is full.
